After days of meeting my new owner Megan, I was started to get bored with lounging around the house while she was off at work; I'm a ranger too you know, I need to have adventures of my own! I begged and pleaded with Megan and finally she agreed to let me go on a kayaking trip to Lake Abanakee which is up near Indian Lake.
As you can see, Megan does not look too ecstatic about me being on the kayak without a PFD (Personal Flotation Device for you non-water folks)
The weather was certainly cloudy and a bit on the cool side so I had Megan wrap a blanket around me to keep me warm for the entire trip.
One of the first things I learned about kayaking was the serenity one feels when they're out on the water; it's just you and your boat ... in this case, Megan and her boat - I was just along for the ride :-)
The next thing I learned: kayaking in the Adirondacks certainly makes for some GREAT photo opportunities!
Now that I've finally ventured out of the house I'm dying to go on more adventures! Who knows where I'll go next!?
